Having strong and successful schools is crucial for every community. Closer working between schools and the community are critical to reduce youth unemployment, improve school standards and to equip young people for the world of work. In a recent report, OFSTED the school inspectorate warned that schools were putting the “nation’s future economic prosperity” at risk because of a failure to sufficiently prioritise enterprise education. By working together we can raise students aspirations, improve learning and create a better community.
There are many ways that the community can support their local schools and we hope that you will spare a little of your time to consider what you can contribute. Although donations are always welcome, it is your knowledge, your experience and your time which will be of the greatest benefit to help our students appreciate the opportunities that are available to them. We hope that as a consequence of this, students will be inspired to focus on what they need to do to achieve their ambitions.
The school appreciates every contribution made by members of the community to improve the life chances of our students. If you are able to make a contribution to the school we will acknowledge this by including you (or your business) on the school ‘Network Volunteers’ web page. Here, you will be able to add your details including a link to your website if you have one. On our pledge page below, you will be able to add the appropriate information (which of course, is optional). Thank you.
